Estudio Arkítera

31.07.2026

Reina 121 is a municipal cultural centre run by València City Council, located in the Cabanyal-Canyamelar neighbourhood. The building was restored by the Arkítera studio and opened to local residents in May 2024 as a neighbourhood cultural facility. Its management, awarded to Pro21cultural, is based on a community model: a space designed to create culture with the neighbourhood, build connections and encourage more active citizen participation.

Music is part of this way of understanding the centre. Its programme includes concerts and musical activities alongside theatre, dance, storytelling, workshops, book clubs and exhibitions. In a neighbourhood with a very strong cultural identity, Reina 121 uses music as a tool for encounter: a way to bring residents together, share languages, open the space to different generations and strengthen the everyday cultural life of Cabanyal-Canyamelar. Music appears as part of a wider ecosystem of performing arts, community creation and neighbourhood participation.
