Nave 3 Ribes occupies a former railway building in Parque Central, built in 1917 by Demetrio Ribes and recovered as a municipal cultural centre. Its restoration, carried out by Contell-Martínez Arquitectos, preserves the building’s industrial memory while adapting it to contemporary, flexible and neighbourhood-based cultural activity. The nave functions as a meeting place, a space for collective creation and an open laboratory for new forms of cultural participation.

Music forms part of this versatile character. Its programme includes concerts and sound-based proposals alongside workshops, cinema, theatre, dance, storytelling, book clubs, talks and exhibitions. The building is designed to change configuration according to each activity: folding platforms, a multipurpose upper room, elements recovered from its railway past and acoustic solutions integrated into the design itself allow the nave to act as a dynamic container for listening, gathering and sharing cultural experiences.

In addition, Nave 3 hosts the programme of Teatre Escalante, a benchmark in performing arts for children and young people, with theatre, dance, puppetry, circus and also opera. This presence broadens its musical and stage dimension, bringing high-quality local, national and international proposals to diverse audiences at accessible prices. Within the context of Parque Central, Nave 3 Ribes connects industrial heritage, living culture and citizen participation: a historic building turned into a tool for activating new forms of encounter.
